Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the FootyLive Discord bot and associated web application (the "Service") operated by FootyLive ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

FootyLive is a Discord bot that provides real-time football (soccer) match notifications, score prediction games, and related features. The Service is available as a bot you can add to Discord servers or use via direct messages, and through our companion web application.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using FootyLive, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that you comply with Discord's own Terms of Service.

3. Your Use of the Service

You agree to:

  • Use the Service only for its intended purpose — receiving football notifications and participating in prediction games.
  • Not attempt to abuse, exploit, or interfere with the Service's operation.
  • Not use automated tools, scripts, or bots to interact with the Service beyond normal Discord usage.
  • Not use the Service for spam, harassment, or any activity that violates Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
  • Comply with all applicable laws when using the Service.

4. Server Permissions

When you add FootyLive to a Discord server, you must have the appropriate permissions (Manage Channels or Administrator) to do so. The bot requires certain Discord permissions to function (sending messages, embedding links, attaching files). By adding the bot, you authorize it to use these permissions in your server.

5. Subscription Limits

The Service offers different subscription tiers:

  • Personal (DM) — Up to 5 teams and 1 competition.
  • Server — Up to 20 teams and 5 competitions per channel.
  • Premium — Up to 100 teams with additional features (when available).

We reserve the right to adjust these limits at any time to ensure fair usage and service stability.

6. Score Predictions

The prediction game is for entertainment purposes only. Leaderboards and points have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for prizes or rewards unless explicitly stated in a specific promotion. We reserve the right to void predictions or reset leaderboards if we detect abuse or technical issues.

7. Football Data

Match data, scores, statistics, and other football information are provided by third-party sources. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that this data is error-free, complete, or delivered in real time. The Service should not be relied upon for time-sensitive decisions such as betting.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the Service running reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Service may experience downtime due to maintenance, updates, third-party API issues, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses resulting from Service unavailability.

9. Intellectual Property

The FootyLive name, logo, match card designs, and bot code are our property. Team logos and competition branding belong to their respective owners and are used for informational purposes. You may share match cards generated by the Service, but you may not use our brand assets for commercial purposes without permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
  • We are not responsible for the accuracy of football data provided by third parties.
  • Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (if any).

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by removing the bot from your server or using the /stop command. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for any user or server that violates these Terms, abuses the Service, or engages in conduct that we determine is harmful to other users or the Service's operation.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will announce them in our Discord community server. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
